Français : Photographie de la construction de la rocade sud de Saintes, aujourd'hui route nationale N141, avec une prise de vue aérienne depuis le sud-ouest.
On peut observer le « Pont Charentelle » et le viaduc de chemin de fer « Pont de Diconche », qui permettent de traverser la Charente. Sur le bas de la photographie se situait le site du camp néolithique de Diconche, qui avait fait l'objet d'une fouille de sauvegarde de 1987 à 1991 et dont l'étude a été publiée par la Société Préhistorique Française en 1998. A l'issu des fouilles, le site a été complètement bouleversé par la création d'une usine de traitement des eaux et l'aménagement de la rocade.English: Photograph of the construction of the southern bypass of Saintes, now the N141 national road, with an aerial view from the southwest.
One can observe the "Pont Charentelle" and the railway viaduct "Pont de Diconche", which allow to cross the Charente. At the bottom of the photograph was the site of the Neolithic camp of Diconche, which had been the subject of a safeguarding excavation from 1987 to 1991 and whose study was published by the French Prehistoric Society in 1998. At the end of the excavations, the site was completely upset by the creation of a water treatment plant and the development of the bypass. |
