English: Rochdale Canal from Clegg Hall bridge The canal remains unrestored in this 1973 photograph. Clegg Hall Mill (cotton) is clearly seen in the centre, and just a fragment of Clegg Hall itself is visible. The weavers' cottages are of interest, for the 1st edition 1:2500 map shows them to have been four pairs of back-to-back dwellings. |
