English: Rocky inlet on south shore of Sanda Island Looking towards Alan Stevenson's Sanda Lighthouse, first lit in 1850, from the vantage point of rocks often strewn with basking Atlantic Grey Seals. Several heads can be seen studying me from the water, waiting for my departure so they may resume their perches. Just off the lighthouse rock the wreck of the wartime liberty ship Byron Darnton can be glimpsed at low tide. |
