Nederlands: Cronesteyn van ter zijde gezien. Kasteel Cronesteyn is, als zo veel kastelen in Nederland, ontstaan uit een min of meer versterkte boerderij. Dat was omstreeks 1300 en het heette toen de Heer Wouterswerf.
