Summary edit
DescriptionRoman Baths at Stoney Middleton - geograph.org.uk - 90541.jpg |
English: Roman Baths at Stoney Middleton. The baths are not Roman although Roman remains have been found locally. The curative waters were recognised in the early C18 and in C19 the baths were formed. They fell into disuse and were restored in the 1980's. The water in the roadside trough is apparently a constant 63 degrees. |
