Summary
editDescriptionRoman Masonry and the city walls ^2 - geograph.org.uk - 659747.jpg |
English: Roman Masonry and the city walls #2 Looking west along the city walls towards Morgan's Mount. The protruding and substantial lower section of wall is part of the original Roman wall but the ground level is higher than when the wall was first built so there will be more stonework out of sight. The city walls have had to be rebuilt many times over the centuries as can be seen here. The footpath is part of the recent landscaping of the area.
