Description
English: On a traffic island where Belmont Road meets the main road in the centre of Rondebosch stands one of the best-known landmarks in that suburb. It is known as “The Fountain”, but it is actually an ornamental trough for watering horses. It consists of a roun Type of site: Fountain . The" Fountain ' a drinking-trough for horses, is an interesting curiosity and a well-known landmark in Rondebosch dating back to 1891.
