English: Bronze statue. Buddha Amita seated on a lotus pedestal in an attitude of meditation, known as dhyana murda. On the halo behind him are the 25 guardians chosen to protect all true believers. Acquired by James Douglas Fletcher (a Scottish entrepreneur) in 1902 for his home, Rosenhaugh, on the Black Isle. From Japan, 1800-1850 CE. National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.
