Summary edit

Description
English: Ropeswing and alderwood. The ropeswing hangs from a high oak bough beside Firs Lane. The land falls towards the Inchford Brook. It flows left to right along the boundary of the wood, then through it. The purplish tinge and the proximity to water are the clues to the wood's composition, given by alder's reddish twigs and violet-grey buds. This wood is seen from the opposite side in 1777631
