Summary
editDescriptionRose Cottage, Albion Road - geograph.org.uk - 765860.jpg |
English: Rose Cottage, Albion Road Rose Cottage is the thatched cottage to the right which has an 1844 datestone inscribed on the front. This part of Selsey was marked as Fishhouses on early maps which give an indication of what the inhabitants did. It was the eventual coalescence of the village around this area during the 19th century that moved the original settlement away from Norton and towards what was then known as Sutton. Taken from the junction of Albion Road with Kingsway. |
