  • Significance: Rosney Plantation was built for the Bolling family during the early part of the nineteenth century. The present house is composed of what were once two separate houses, one reportedly moved from nearby. Although minor changes have been made through time the main structure remains largely unaltered. Bolling family members are prominent in Virginia history and are noted as prolific builders and political activists.
