| Description | first day of operation of the extension of route 308 to Clapton Pond via Chatsworth Road (north), a section of road which has not seen a regular bus service since 1978, hence the brand new stop The previous terminus is behind the trees, including the odd elm, on the far left. The route was instigated in 2005, and originally called at the long lost Clays Lane Estate which was demolished for construction of the Olympic Park. The extension coincided with the reversion of the route to Temple Mills Lane, its original path until construction of the Olympic park resulted in its closure. Double deck buses were used during the Olympics and Paralympics. |
