Routermaster racers, or just double deckers. It's still a London icon in 2023 On the outside, Routemaster bus RML887 (reg. 202 UXJ, ex-WLT 887) was delivered to London Transport in September 1961 & registered as WLT 887. It was still operating for the Go-Ahead Group usually on route 14 and route 22. In 2023, its still a London icon, now operating the recently introduced Londoner heritage bus tour. On the inside lane, Routemaster RML 2301, CUV301C, built by AEC Park Royal in 1965 and entered passenger service with London Transport (country area) at Godstone (GD) garage. In 1993 RML2301 received a new livery of cream and maroon and was taken over by Kentish bus and operated on route 19 out of Battersea garage. It would then spend time with Arriva operating route 19 (Battersea Bridge to Finsbury Park). In 2023, its now with Traditional Travel Ltd, Kent who specialise in heritage private hires. |
