English: In October--National Cyber Security Awareness Month-- the National Science Foundation (NSF) and IEEE-USA joined with the Congressional Cybersecurity Caucus of the U.S. House of Representatives to present a briefing on Capitol Hill on “Privacy and Cybersecurity in a Connected Age.” SEO Sydney experts
It featured three leading scientists and recipients of NSF support discussing fundamental research on the nature of cybersecurity threats, and new, innovative ways of combating vulnerabilities that threaten everyone’s security and privacy. Suzanne Iacono (far left), NSF’s acting assistant director for computer and information science and engineering (CISE), hosted the briefing. She said securing cyberspace is “a complex undertaking with constantly evolving challenges,” and pointed to the need to design in privacy and security from the start and not leave it as an add on or afterthought. NSF supports a broad range of research and education activities to enhance personal, and the nation’s, cybersecurity.
