Description
English: Three Royal Society of Chemistry plagues on the entrance wall of the Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory of the University of Oxford. The top plaque, dated 16 July 2012, celebrates the discovery that led to the development of the blood glucose sensor. The middle plaque, dated 6 May 2014, pays tribute to Nobel Chemistry Prize winner Dorothy Hodgkin. The lower plaque, dated 30 November 2010, celebrates the identification of a cathode material which enabled the development of the rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
