Die Station in Ruhla befindet sich unmittelbar neben der Bushaltestelle Zum Landgraf und nur wenige Schritte vom Ruhlaer Steinlädchen. Sie ist Bestandteil des Projektes Geopark Thüringen. Die Tafeln erläutern erdgeschichtliche Erkenntnisse zum Ruhlaer Gebiet des Thüringer Waldes. Sie sind Teil der GeoRoute 9 - "Wanderung über die tropische Ruhlaer Insel", Rundroute Ruhla - UNESCO Global Geopark Thüringen Inselsberg - Drei Gleichen. Weitere Tafeln befinden sich in Ruhla, an der Touristinformation, in Thal - am Einkaufszentrum, in Schweina - Altensteiner Höhle und in Bad Liebenstein. |
