Description
Français : Le 2 décembre 1959, à la suite de pluies diluviennes, le barrage de Malpasset (220 mètres de long et 60 mètres de hauteur) cède, libérant cinquante millions de mètres cubes d'eau. La vague de quarante mètres de hauteur inonde la plaine de l'Argens et, après un parcours de dix kilomètres, dévaste le quartier ouest de Fréjus (Var) où 423 habitants sont tués.
