Summary edit
DescriptionRuined bothy, Mam Sodhail - geograph.org.uk - 1727473.jpg |
English: Ruined bothy, Mam Sodhail Sir Hugh Munro mentions a bothy '.. inhabited all through the summer by two ghillies, whose duty it is to keep sheep and tourists from straying.' (SMC Journal vol. 1 1890, p 130) also available at http://gdl.cdlr.strath.ac.uk/smcj/smcj003/smcj0030802.htm
However, Munro locates the bothy as about halfway between Mam Sodhail and the col above Alltbeithe, 3km SW along the ridge, so this might not be the same thing. |
