English: Ruins of Shepherd's Cottage The ruined wall surrounding the gardens of what was once Shepherd's Cottage, which stood for centuries until the 1950s. Nercwys Forest was once open heathland, and the lord of the manor rented the land to farmers. Shepherd's Cottage featured a walled garden which was used to grow crops for the resident. The potatoes were apparently excellent! |
