English: Hall of Memory and Sorrow

The Hall immortalizes about 27 million Soviet people who perished defending the Motherland in the years of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945.

Sculptures placed in the Hall embody all the mothers, wives, sisters and daughters mourning their husbands, brothers and sons, killed in the war.

I WAS going to stop posting after uploading this picture as it really bothers me what we as humans have done and continue to do to each other. Can you even imagine 27 MILLION PEOPLE, that is approx. 81% of the population of Canada or MORE THAN all of Australia and New Zealand combined.

I decided to keep posting even through this season of joy in hopes that the words "PEACE AND GOODWILL TO ALL MANKIND" will mean a little more when we see and realize the alternative of what can and did happen. Please pray for world peace over this holiday season.
