English: Caption: "Yurtas the peculiar tents which are used as dewellings by the Kirghiz nomad tribes of Russia. Owing to the warm weatherproof nature of these huts, which are easily transportable, they are being adopted by the Russian Government for the use of troops, and Kirghiz instructors have been engaged to teach the men how to erect and dismantle the huts. The Yurtas seen in the picture were presented to the Russian Army by the Governor of the Tourgaysk district M Eurasmann"
