Description Typically innovative and forward-looking, Burt Rutan's Quickie combines many unusual design features with efficient use of modern, lightweight materials. The tail-first 'canard' configuration makes the airplane virtually stall-proof. It has a range of 600 miles and is a remarkably safe and economical home-built aircraft. This example required approximately 1000 man-hours in construction and logged 230 flight hours.
