Description
English: Train for Shanklin at Ryde Pier Head.
In the penultimate summer of steam services on the Isle of Wight, a surviving Adams O2 0-4-4T, No. W28 'Ashey' (built 7/1890 as No. 186, shipped to the island in 3/26 and withdrawn 12/66) leaves the Pier Head on the 14.20 to Shanklin. In the foreground is the electric tramway.
