Summary edit

Description A notice at the entrance to Ryde Pier, Ryde, Isle of Wight in September 2010 telling cyclists to dismount their bikes before continuing up the pier. The pier had earlier failed a routine maintanence inspection meaning it was unsafe for vehicle traffic (including bikes) to continue to use it. When repair work started a temporary walkway was built which allowed cycle traffic during off-peak periods.
