Description
Deutsch: Lageplan des Hauptwerkes der Sächsische Maschinenfabrik im Chemnitzer Zentrum (links und Bildmitte) sowie der 1898 errichteten Eisengießerei in Chemnitz-Altendorf (rechts), 1900.
Das frühere Fabrikgelände zwischen Bergstraße, Hartmannstraße und Schloßteich ging nach 1930 in der Erweiterung des Schloßteichparks auf. Zu den wenigen heute überhaupt noch vorhandenen Gebäuden des Unternehmens gehören die Villa Hartmann, das Fabrikgebäude Fabrikstraße 11 und das frühere Verwaltungsgebäude, die heutige Polizeidirektion Hartmannstraße 24.
