Description A U.S. Navy Grumman S-2D Tracker from Anti-Submarine Squadron 35 (VS-35) "Boomerangers" warms up its engines before launch from the aircraft carrier USS Hornet (CVS-12) in the Sea of Japan. VS-35 was assigned to Carrier Anti-Submarine Air Group 57 (CVSG-57) aboard the Hornet for a deployment to the Western Pacific and Vietnam from 12 August 1965 to 23 March 1966. Note how much the carrier is rolling in the heavy seas.
