S.T. Dupont es una marca con sede en París que fabrica encendedores, bolígrafos de colección, bolsos, perfumes (producidos bajo licencia de Interparfums), cigarrillos (hechos por Philip Morris International), y otros artículos. La empresa ha estado produciendo artículos de lujo desde su fundación en 1872. El fundador de la marca, Simon Tissot-Dupont, nació en Saboya en 1847, y la empresa le debe sus iniciales. Dupont produce encendedores, bolígrafos, carteras, relojes, cigarrillos (hechos por Philip Morris International) y fragancias. El primer encendedor producido en serie por la compañía fue creado en 1941 y fue hecho del aluminio, pues el latón era utilizado como metal estratégico restringido para los propósitos de la guerra solamente. De 1958 a 1963, todos los encendedores fueron construidos de oro sólido de 18k con 3% de latón. Historia Simon Tissot-Dupont fundó una empresa de transporte que fue destruida en un incendio en 1872. El mismo año, compró un taller donde comenzó a fabricar maletines de cuero para diplomáticos y empresarios. En 1884, Dupont se convirtió en el proveedor de una de las tiendas más grandes del mundo - Les Grands Magasins du Louvre - manteniendo sus clientes privados.
