Deutsch: Neubauwagen vom Ende der 1950er, aufgrund der finanziellen Lage der Stadt Wien mussten insbesondere Teile der elektrischen Ausrüstung der Vorgängerwagen des Typs N und fallweise auch Radsätze wiederverwendet werden. Damit wurden zum letzten Mal für ein Schnellbahnsystem Zweiachser gebaut, jetzt jedoch in geschweißter Ganzstahlbauart sowie mit druckluftbetätigten Falttüren und selbsttätigen Scharfenbergkupplungen mit Kontaktaufsätzen. Manuell zu verbindende Leitungskupplungen waren deshalb nicht mehr erforderlich. Auffällig ist das Fehlen von straßenbahntypischen Ausrüstungen wie Fahrtrichtungsanzeiger, ein Betrieb im Straßenbahnnetz war, abgesehen von Überführungen zur Hauptwerkstatt, nicht mehr vorgesehen. Der Triebwagen 2992 wurde nach seiner Ausmusterung 1983 zum Hilfstriebwagen NH 6889, 1989 wurde er für das Museum rekonstruiert. |
