Description Roter Pfeil CLm 2/4, Zusammenstellungszeichnung. 1933 beschlossen die SBB, zwei Triebwagen mit Dieselantrieb anzuschaffen. Durch den Wegfall des Heizers waren grosse Einsparungen möglich, die so auch auf nicht elektrifizierten Strecken zum Tragen kamen. Ursprünglich noch CLm 2/4 genannt, wurde die Diesel-Variante des "Roten Pfeils" ab 1937 als Rm 2/4 bezeichnet und gehörte damit zusammen mit den elektrischen "Roten Pfeilen" zu den ersten Fahrzeugen, die nach der Zugreihe R verkehren durften.
