Description
English: Southbound U.S. Route 129 (hidden State Road 249) as it approaches the intersection with U.S. Route 27 (hidden State Road 20) in Branford, Florida. US 129 makes a left turn at US 27 and joins that route in an overlap until the intersection with County Road and hidden State Road 49. Hidden State Road 249 terminates here, but a sign directs motorists to make a right turn in order to access Florida State Road 349, which was previously part of U.S. Alternate Route 129 until 1970.
NOTE; June 7, 2023; The reason that two right-turn lanes exist here is because the one closer to the curb is for the northwest-bound US 27-SR 20 Suwanee County Florida Agricultural Inspection Station, around the corner from the current Town Hall (formerly a propane dealership) just before the Frank R. Norris Bridge over the Suwannee River.
