English: German workmen and GI guards get last look at the main figure-head from the worlds [sic] famous Veit Stoss Altar, formerly in St Mary's Church, Cracow, Poland, as it is being packed for shipment back to Poland, under the supervision of the Office of Monuments and Fine Arts Archives for N. Bavaria, along with other priceless art treasures which were stolen from Poland during the Nazi occupation of Poland by Hans Frank, former Nazi-governor general of Poland. These priceless treasures were found in the city of Nurnberg, Germany. |
