Description U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. John W. Troxell, Senior Enlisted Advisor to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, meets with Mark Donaldson, VC; at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA, on Sept. 11, 2019. In 2009, Donaldson was invested with the Victoria Cross for Australia, becoming the first Australian to receive the award since Vietnam, for conspicuous acts of gallantry in action in a circumstance of great peril in Uruzgan province, Afghanistan.
