Campi) bear the palm and the sword as martyrs, but are not otherwisedistinguished ; there are efRgies of them in the Church of St.Nazaro at Milan, but probably not of very great merit, for Iconfess that I have no recollection of them, while Titiansaltar-piece in their church at Brescia cannot easily be forgotten.The central subject is the resurrection of Christ; on the left SAINTS OF BEEGAMO 647 wing is the portrait of the provost Averoldi, for whom, thepicture was painted, and who is recommended to the Divinefavor by St. Nazarius and St. Celsus. St. Nazarius is bearded;St. Celsus, as a youth, stands in front, and both are in armor.On the right wing is a beautiful figure of St. Sebastian, droop-ing and half dead.
