BIOGRAPHY Saeid Mirzaei Yengejeh holds two PhDs in international law (2016) form the Law Faculty of the University of Ottawa and in political science from Osmania University (India), a Masters Degree in international law and relations from Tehran University (Iran) and a diploma in international criminal law from Salzburg Law School (Austria). He has over 30 years of experience at the United Nations, as an international civil servant and a governmental representative. He served as a legal officer in the Office of Legal Affairs of the United Nations from 2003 to 2008 and in 2011, also, as a delegate to the Sixth Committee (legal) of the General Assembly of the United Nations for 11 years (1989-1994 and 1997-2002). While serving at the United Nations, he contributed to international negotiations on several legal topics and led a number of committees. He chaired the United Nations Charter Committee in 2000; and coordinated two working groups of the Preparatory Commission on the Establishment of the International Criminal Court (2001-2002), which prepared the rules of procedure of the Assembly of States Parties and the election procedures of high officials of the Court. He also coordinated positions of the Non-Aligned Movement during the negotiations on the establishment of the International Criminal Court, from 1998 to 2002. Dr. Mirzaei taught a number of courses on different aspects of international law and relations, including, law of treaties, peaceful settlement of disputes and consular and diplomatic law, from 1994 to 1997, at the Faculty of International Relations in Tehran. While working at the United Nations, he coached five groups of students from the Law Faculty of Colombia University, who prepared dozens of studies on the application and interpretation of Charter articles for the Repertory of Practice of United Nations Organs.

Mr. Mirzaei Yengejeh has published several books and articles on different aspects of international law and relations.
