Die Bornematzin hilft


Es war im Jahre 1898. Draußen in der Massenei rodete der Bahnarbeiter Pauls aus Arnsdorf Baumstöcke. Er lud sie dann auf einen Karren, um sie ins Dorf zu bringen. Aber er hatte seine Kräfte überschätzt. Kaum vermochte er den Karren von der Telle zu bringen, so sehr er sich bemühte, die Fuhre war zu schwer. Da rief er in seiner Not, aber auch halb im Scherz: "Bornematzen, komm und hilf mir!" kaum hatte er das gesagt, da ist es ihm, als bringt er ihn ohne besondere Anstrengung vorwärts. Selbst über den Tannenberg rollte der Karren wie auf einer Ebene.
