English: Shirokaki Jizō of Saikō-ji (Buddhist temple in Itabashi, Tokyo, Japan)
日本語: 西光寺 しろかき地蔵（東京都板橋区大谷口2-8-7）
  • この地蔵に関する伝承はおおまかに次の通り。むかし大谷口の信心深い若い百姓が田植えに間に合うよう代掻きに励んでいたが、日が暮れても予定の半分も終わらず途方に暮れていた。すると若い僧が通りがかって「お困りのようですね」と優しく声をかけて去っていった。翌朝、その百姓が田に行ってみるといつの間にか代掻きが全部終わっており、驚いた百姓は田から延びる泥の足跡をたどっていくと丘の上のお堂に行き着いた。扉を開けると、安置された地蔵は腰まで泥だらけだった。以降、大谷口の人々はこの地蔵を「代かき地蔵尊」と崇め、お祭りするようになった。
