English: Le Dôme des Invalides, full name Saint-Louis-des-Invalides is a baroque church built by Jules Hardoui-Mansart in 1676 in the now 7th arrondissement in Paris. It is part of the Hôtel des Invalides built under the reign of Louis XIV in 1670 so that "those who risked their lives and shed their blood (...) may spend the rest of their lives peacefully" Français : Le dôme des Invalides, de son nom complet Saint-Louis-des-Invalides, est une église baroque construite par Jules Hardouin-Mansart en 1676 dans ce qui est aujourd'hui le 7e arrondissement de Paris. Elle fait partie de l'Hôtel des Invalides construit sous Louis XIV en 1670 pour que « ceux qui ont exposé leur vie et prodigué leur sang pour la défense de la monarchie (…) passent le reste de leurs jours dans la tranquillité » Deutsch: Der Dôme des Invalides oder Saint-Louis-des-Invalides ist eine barocke Kirche, gebaut 1676 von Jules Hardouin-Mansart im jetzigen 7. Arrondissement in Paris. Sie ist ein Teil des Hôtel des Invalides, das unter Ludwig XIV. gebaut worden ist, um die verwundeten Soldaten unterzubringen, damit "die, die ihr Leben gewagt und ihr Blut vergossen haben, um die Monarchie zu verteidigen (...) den Rest ihres Lebens in Ruhe hinleben können". |
