Description

Stained glass windows in the Church of St Barnabas, Ashwell Road, Heaton, West Yorkshire, England. The building was designed by Mallinson & Healey, and built 1863-1864. It was restored in 1889. A vestry has been added on the north side of the apse, probably in the twentieth century.

The inscription at the bottom of the window says: "To the glory of God and in loving memory of Jane James who taught in the Sunday School of this parish for 15 years and died March 8th 1895. [Window donated by] fellow teachers and scholars." This is probably Jane James (1863-1895) who died aged 32 years in North Bierley, West Yorkshire.
