English: Saket Bahuguna is a student activist and National Media Convener of RSS’s student wing Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). Born in a family of educators, he originally hails from the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand and currently lives in Delhi. He completed his graduation and post-graduation from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and presently pursues research in Linguistics at the University of Delhi (DU). As an active student leader of JNU and DU, and being the Delhi State Secretary of ABVP, he has successfully led powerful students’ protests to demand strict anti-rape laws, passage of Juvenile Justice Bill in the Parliament, end to discriminatory linguistic policies in the UPSC examination, increase in the rate of various doctoral fellowships of UGC, complete rollback of the Four Years’ Undergraduate Program of DU and many other important student issues. After the 9th February incident of eulogizing terrorists at JNU this year and its aftermath, he emerged as the voice of the nationalist students and addressed students all over the country on the issue.
