| Description |
English: Salangsverket ("Salangen Works") is a village and industrial site in Salangen municipality in Troms county, Norway. The Salangsverket or Salangen Bergverkaktieselskap was an industrial iron ore mining company 1907–1912. The ore was mined at Storhaugen, then processed at and shipped from Salangsverket at Langneset by the Sagfjorden fiord (jernbrikettstøperi, utskipningshavn etc). The remains of the old facility are today a cultural heritage monument and open air museum with a cultural trail, as part of the Sør-Troms Museum. The photo shows a rusty old bus and other scrap metal and car part debris in a dump between the huge, reinforced concrete constructions of the industry plant at Salangsverket on Langneset.
