Description

Hemel Hempstead Field Trip - 05/09/13 A trip to two previous excellent sites in Hemel Hempstead did not yield a great deal with mostly common species. In fact the moths pretty much stopped flying altogether at about 11pm when the wind got up and it felt a lot cooler (despite being 17 degrees still!) What we did get was singles of some nice species, including 2 migrants a White-point and a Dark Sword-grass. I got one new moth for myself, although extremely worn it can only be a Juniper Pug as it has been recorded at Roughdown Common before and we were trapping next to several Juniper bushes.
