| Description |
English: Salvage Barges These two barges are moored close to the wreck of HMS Royal Oak. They are where the fuel oil, once removed from the wreck by the salvage team, will be stored. When full, they will be taken to the nearby oil refinery at Flotta where the contents will be processed. In the background can be seen the salvage vessel and to the right horizon, the buoy marking the wreck. Unlike the buoy, the salvage vessel is directly over HMS Royal Oak. |
