Description

Russian-occupied North Korea had cut rail lines so coal from the eastern mines couldn't be delivered directly to Seoul and other cities. On this assignment we went to Samch'ok where Koreans loaded coal onto junks for delivery to the railhead in Fusan.

In the photo, I;m using the Eymo 35mm camera on the sturdy Bell & Howell tripod. The movie film was sent to somewhere in Washington, D.C and I've never seen any of it.

(This was a reject slide that I used Epson color restoration and dust removel software, plus PSE 7.0 to bring back the original Ansco colors. I scanned at 9600.)
