Originally known as "inglesia de San Pablo", founded in 1571, it is the oldest stone church (built in 1589) in the Philippines. In 1993, San Agustin Church was one of 4 Philippine churches constructed during the Spanish colonial period designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, under the collective title Baroque Churches of the Philippine.[7][8] It was named a National Historical Landmark by the Philippine government in 1976.[9] Website [10] San Agustin Museum: Repository of enduring friendship July 25, 2004 [11] San Agustin International Music Festival [12] r.
