Description
Español: La escena se subdivide en dos motivos principales. El ámbito izquierda presenta el modo de vida cartujo, disponiendo en el centro la figura de San Bruno de Colonia en actitud orante, mientras que otros grupo de cartujos se sitúan bajo un cobertizo hecho al cobijo de las rocas de la montaña. Al fondo se vislumbra la garganta que daba acceso al lugar elegido por San Bruno en Chartreuse, custodiado por un hermano lego para que no entrasen intrusos. En el extremo derecho de la composición se representa un grupo de albañiles trabajando, bajo las órdenes de un cartujo, construyendo las dependencias de lo que va a ser la primera cartuja.
