English: Place: Sanchong District, New Taipei Sanchong District is one of my favourite areas for car spotting in Taipei. Or I should say Xinbei (New Taipei), which is officially a different city which is almost completely surrounding Taipei and includes all the suburbs of Taipei. Like most districts in Taipei and Xinbei, Sanchong District, home to some 388,000 people, is extremely densily populated. Even though it's not far from central Taipei (it's only separated from Taipei by Tamsui River), it has a real suburban feeling. It's one of the least developed areas, without tourist attractions and a severe lack of parks and is, like other district like Banqiao, Xinzhuang and Luzhou, home to the working class of Taipei, who cannot afford the extremely high rents or prices of properties in Taipei City. It is also home to many people from Taichung, Kaohsiung and other parts of southern Taiwan. I can really enjoy walking or riding my bicycle through the narrow streets of Sanchong, it has a very traditional feeling.
