| Description |
English: Sandwood Loch and Lodge Viewed from the Sandwood Bay track, the loch is almost at sea level. The lodge is a derelict shell. Although Sandwood was 'cleared' in 1847, the lodge was lived in until the first part of the twentieth century.
Norrie Morrison's grandmother was born in 1898 and lived there with her father, a shepherd, for a few years when she was a little girl. (With thanks to Norrie for that updated information). |
