Description

O Santuário de Santa Rita foi construido no Monte de Santa Rita, um lugar sobranceiro em relação a vila de Ponte da Barca e repleto de grande arvoredo. Situado na Freguesia de Vila Nova de Muía, Concelho de Ponte da Barca, ai se realiza todos os anos uma das maiores romarias da vila. A capela adjacente é provavelmente dos finais do século XVII.

"Neste momento este lindíssimo santuário está praticamente abandonado, felizmente os edifícios parecem-me estar em bom estado de conservação, apesar das alterações de anos passados - como se pode verificar pelas fotos. Este lugar está repleto de história mas isso não parece suficiente para ser alvo de um restauro e requalificação.
