Description

O Santuário dos Milagres viu iniciada a sua construção em 1732, em honra a um de um milagre de Jesus que terá acontecido no lugar. Em tempos foi um dos principais locais de romaria do País, suplantado posteriormente pelo bem mais mediático Santuário de Fátima. A sua construção é marcadamente Barroca, sendo o mármore o material mais utilizado, decorado com telas, painéis de azulejos e uma rica estatuária, com destaque para o Relógio da Igreja, talvez a maior peça patrimonial do Santuário. O Santuário dos Milagres recebeu obras de restauração, devido ao alto estado de degradação a que esteve sujeito em finais do século XX. Para uma melhor recepção a todos os visitantes, foi criando um Posto de Acolhimento, para esclarecimentos e informações (Aberto diáriamente das 09h00 às 19h00), com condições especiais para visitas organizadas.

A celebração do Senhor Jesus dos Milagres ocorre anualmente no segundo fim-de-semana de Setembro e é muito famosa pela sua procissão de andores, que atrai a este Santuário dezenas de pessoas vindas de todo o País. <a href="http://www.guiadacidade.pt/pt/poi-santuario-dos-milagres-16467" rel="nofollow">www.guiadacidade.pt/pt/poi-santuario-dos-milagres-16467</a>
