Description
English: The nephew-turned-son-in-law of the founder of Hyderabad and the husband of Bhagnagar's beloved Ma Saheba, Sultan Muhammad Qutb Shah was the 6th ruler of the Qutb Shahi Dynasty. Already in accession to the throne, he was married to Hayat Bakshi Begum and took charge of the kingdom in 1611 C.E.

His tomb lies towards the north of his father-in-law's tomb and east of his wife's and son's (Abdullah Qutb Shah) tombs in the Qutb Shahi Tombs complex, Ibrahim Bagh, Hyderabad. It has a surrounding arcade, pointed arches and an ornate dome that was once covered in green and turquoise tiles, built to Persian, Hindu, and Pathani styles of architecture. Inside the tomb, lies his Sarcophagus which is covered in a shamrock green and amber yellow funeral pall with a golden piping. On the Sarcophagus, there are two apparent bands of inscription in the Naksh and Tauq scripts. Surrounding the sarcophagus, at the corners of the tomb are four open-ended right angled passageways that have exterior walls geometrically decorated in umber brown.

Though he deceased at the unlikely age of 32, he now rests peacefully, reunited with his wife, son, father-in-law and other members of the royal family.
